The highest Cliff in Europe, in Ferrol

You will be able to enjoy a wonderful landscape in Sierra de La Capelada, which descends directly into the Antlantic sea waters, in a succession of cliffs near San Andrés de Teixido. The highest cliff in Europe is 613 metres above the sea level in Garita de Herveira, and has an 80% slope. Wild horses are often seen on the road that crosses Sierra de La Capelada.

Historical heritage of Ferrol

The historical heritage of Ferrol has a great value for being an exponent of several historical periods: from the approach of a port city of the Enlightenment to the port quarter of Ferrol Vello, typically medieval, and the quarter of Magdalena, declared of Cultural Interest, unique for its straight lines and two symmetrical squares. The Ferrol historical heritage can be considered the closest example to the ideal city of the 18th century.

Belelle River Waterfall

The Belelle River has a deep valley in its middle course, with beautiful lush landscapes. In the course of the river next to Neda, you will be able to see a waterfall that overcomes the 45 metres unevenness, which rose to 153 metres when the Fervenza dam was built.

Fragas do Eume Natural Park

Fragas do Eume is a perfect example of a local forest in the coastal strip of Galicia. The Fragas do Eume Natural Park has 9125 ha and is considered the best Atlantic coastal forest in this area of Europe. In addition to the presence of oaks and other botanical specimens of great natural interest, you will be able to see a landscape that has not changed much since it was first inhabited in Galicia and, also, there is still a great sample of threatened fauna, the reason why this Natural Park has a noticeable biological value.
